Food hamper

My mum lives shopping in marks and Spencer each year for Christmas treats - so I was going to make her up a hamper this year - she is shielding.

I haven’t been out much but I remember years ago seeing baskets there so you could make up hampers. Has anyone noticed?

I know they have pre made hampers, but there are always thing I know my parents wouldn’t use, and they seem very expensive for what is in them.

Have a look on facebook marketplace. Loads of people seem to be selling empty wicker baskets and hamper baskets at the moment, probably gifts from last christmas!

If you can stretch to it you could do her a Fortnum & Mason gift hamper; that would definitely be very luxurious! They do the baskets separately so that you can select what goes into it.

Otherwise I’d do as others have suggested and get a lovely hamper from eBay and then fill it yourself from M&S.

I have looked online at the fortnum and mason. I live in Ireland - we don’t have stores here and I don’t think my mum recognises the brand

B and M and home bargains have the hamper sets including a basket, ribbon and cellophane

Also hobby craft for wicker basket sets. I bought a few recently.

That’s better really as you’ll save yourself a fair bit of money!

I got a beautiful wicker basket off eBay recently.
