Harry Potter lego is shit this year so not wasting money....
Thorntons was crap, 20 out of the 24 chocolates were the same....
Looked at the Malteser one and it's plain chocolate with the reindeer as the last one...
Which is guaranteed to be value for money and different chocolates each day? Or shall I just buy a tin and help myself each morning HmmGrinGlitterball

The lindt ones do look gorgeous dementedpixie- where did you see them?

OhioOhioOhio · 07/11/2020 08:02

Aldi have celebrations one for £4.

WeCameToDance · 07/11/2020 08:19

I’m hoping for the forrero rocher one Grin. It’s not that much variation, I think it’s the standard gold, dark chocolate and white ones but they are my favourite chocolates.
You’ve reminded me to get advent calendars sorted with the next food shop!

dementedpixie · 07/11/2020 08:59

The supermarkets sell the lindt ones. There are different versions. Think the kids get a £5 version with a lindt bunny at the 24th

SerenadeOfTheSchoolRun · 07/11/2020 09:43

Get a refillable one and put the chocolates in yourself. (Or ask someone to do it for you so you can be a bit surprised). Then you can have as much variety as you like.

KitKatastrophe · 07/11/2020 10:10

If it's for yourself, just buy a box of chocolates and get a picture advent calendar. It will be FAR cheaper. You could probably get a nice box of hotel chocolat or fancy truffles for the price of a crappy maltesers advent calendar.
Advent calendars are for kids really.

NameChanger3002 · 07/11/2020 10:18

We have a fabric one and I let DD loose with money to get as many different items of chocolate as possible and she then stocks it.

We all shrare it, so you get a piece every three days plus three St. Nikolaus on the 6th and 3 Lindt angels on the 24th.
