Smart watch

DS would like an Apple Watch. I have one that’s about 4 years old. Never use it unless on holiday.

He would like mine but I am not sure about him wearing it at school. He’s 12 so s1 at school in Scotland. I just think it’s a bit of a statement thing to wear and given he had a pair of trainers destroyed by another pupil I am concerned about him wearing an Apple Watch.

He did have a cheap one from Amazon. One of the long/narrow types like this. DH spilt water on it so it broke. DS bought it himself but didn’t like the style. So does, anyone have any suggestions for a smart watch or, would you just give him the Apple Watch?

We bought our dd a Apple Watch last year It was the only thing she really wanted. She’s 11 and just gone up to year 7 and she’s only just started to really wear and make use of it. She kept forgetting to charge it, etc. Lately she wears it to school and out (back when we were able). Shes really into it right now, thank goodness!! Maybe look into getting him a older model? Reconditioned?

Id give him your watch. I wouldn't buy a child one, but as you have already paid for yours, and it is going to waste, he may as well get the wear out of it. Maybe not let him wear it to school if you are concerned.
