Which are the best and strongest smelling ones. I have bought a few in the past and the smells don’t last. I want something which will linger for a while.

Dyptique Christmas ones are the best, but very expensive. Ditto Jo Loves.

White company are good

Quite a cool advent candle here in a Christmas smell of winter orange www.cantocandle.com/product/advent-candle/

EasterIssland · 07/11/2020 17:37

Following! @gower4 which Xmas one? I’ve seen liberty has 20% off on dyptinique

TammyTwoSawnson · 08/11/2020 07:08

Skandinavisk skog is amazing. I buy the reed diffuser and it lasts months! The candle is good too

ifiwasascent · 08/11/2020 19:20

I brought a beefayre winter berries one a couple of weeks ago and it's amazing. So so strong and beautiful winter smells!

Exactly this. I love pomander by Dyptique and Plum Pudding by Jo Loves.

I used to get The White Company ones but the last two Christmas I’ve bought M&S candles and they’ve been brilliant. Much cheaper than White Company.

Sinsburys Christmas red one

Redannie118 · 08/11/2020 19:58

Price candles are lovely and the smell really lasts, you can buy matching tealights too.
Sainsburys winter spice is really really nice too and not to overpowering
If you want a change from the traditional cinnamon scented candles the highland soap company do a gorgeous warm, spicy smelling whisky and honey soy candle. It lasts ages and burns really evenly.

bookish83 · 08/11/2020 20:24

Sainsbury's winter candle and also M&S.

Very good contenders for The White Company, especially if on a budget x

Ellapaella · 08/11/2020 22:43

Parkminster candles are amazing and do some lovely Christmas ones

HokeyWokey · 08/11/2020 22:47

Home Bargains rip off Yankees. The candy cane and gingerbread one beat the posh expensive candles hands down.

Also the Glade candles are really good,

ArabellaPilkington · 08/11/2020 22:50

I had a Feu de Bois Dyptique candle last year and it was a bit meh

I like Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt and True Grace Portobello Oud as winter rather than specific Christmas candles

Abendintheriver · 08/11/2020 22:53

I'd echo skandinavisk smog. Plus the hygge one feels kinda christmassy to me

HokeyWokey · 08/11/2020 22:56

The Sheffield candle company have great smelling candles.

I love Parkminster candles, am a bit obsessed with their pomelo and ginger one.
barbites · 09/11/2020 00:02

St Eval Figgy Pudding is lush! Their orange and cinnamon is good and I love the winter thyme one too 😁

barbites · 09/11/2020 00:14

Also, All is Bright by Yankee is a Christmas must have in my house 🎄

Radiatornoise · 09/11/2020 00:16

Definitely Skog!

QueenPaws · 09/11/2020 00:16

The botanical candle company are fab

iwwntchocolate · 09/11/2020 00:43

I think Yankee candles are supposed to be nice and good quality they do nice Christmas flavours Apparently you can smell them all around your house

Xxy1430 · 09/11/2020 00:51

These candles are v Christmassy, scents are great for the price! www.morethanjustagift.co.uk/collections/candles-diffusers

dhisreadingmypostsagain · 09/11/2020 01:06

@bookish83 the Sainsbury's one does it smell like white company winter? I can't afford white company this year but have always had a winter candle from them for the last 4 years, I miss the smell

Jojo94 · 09/11/2020 14:34

I second the Sainsbury’s ones!!! I love the white company winter smell and just got the Sainsbury’s version of the burning essential oil, which is identical! Candles are a hit in my house!

TOADfan · 09/11/2020 14:36

I switched to all soy candles when we got our cat and by far the best candle I have ever smelt (can smell it upstairs) are cozy glow candles. Plus great value and a small business too.
