Sack and Stocking?

If you do both what do you put in each? Our little one is only two and growing up we only had sacks.

I really like the look of stocking though so just wondering how people split things.

Sack or stocking at end of bed left by father Christmas, everything else under the tree.

We only do the stocking from FC and the presents under the tree from us. But if you have bigger items from FC you could put those in the sack. If not you could put any presents aside from the main present in them?

Stocking is stuff from Father Christmas (small things, useful things that aren't really presents eg pyjamas pants bubble bath, sweets; unwrapped)

Sack is for everything else if you're feeling fancy. We had sacks for a couple of years but mostly when I was young the presents were just in piles, one for each of us. We all opened them at once while my parents were still in bed, or at least drinking their tea and getting up. After my grandmother's stroke when we stopped going to her house for lunch we'd do presents in the afternoon and then they were all looking festive under the tree.

Stocking is for small stuff- fluffy pen, lip balm, chocolate orange, socks. Sack is for medium sized stuff- books, soft toys, pyjamas, craft kits etc. Big presents go under the tree or on the floor depending on size. I made my DD a sack because we usually stay with family for Christmas and it was easier to transport and store all her presents in it.

I've done stocking with a present with it from FC each year. Then I've done sacks by tree and presents under tree. I think this year I'm going to do a Santa sack with stocking fillers and the FC gift then have all presents in piles by the tree as I like the look of it better.

One Santa sack under the tree, everything else from us/family/friends.

In our house stockings for my toddler have little things that are no more than £2 or less like chocolate coins, funny soaps, Christmas socks, a new cup and bowl, bubbles, stickers while the sack has bigger proper presents like books and games

Stocking went by the bed and could be opened before mum and dad got up. Sacks or pillowcase, was by tree, basically to aid admin as it had all the presents from family sorted into who they were for.
