LEGO Hidden Side

My ds has decided he wants hidden side lego for Christmas. The sets seem more expensive than usual LEGO. Does anyone know much about it, is it worth it?

We have some. The augmented reality aspect is impressive but DCs rarely use it. The sets themselves have been well played with and have a cool spooky/horror theme.
The newer sets haven't been discounted anywhere (that I've seen), but earlier in the year there were some very good discounts on earlier sets.

My son also wants this...even without the virtual reality aspect it still looks like a good Lego set

My son got one of the sets last year, and I have to say, it was a great set to play with, even without the augmented reality. I got a second set half price a few weeks ago in Sainsbury’s, so do look round - there have been some bargains on these.

My dc have a enjoyed hidden side, and the augmented reality aspect is a lot of fun. They have strict screen time though and it still gets played with as a normal set too. The only downside from their perspective is that they can’t repurpose it in a new build because they want to play it on the app.
