Electronic photo frames anyone?

I was thinking about getting one for MiL for Christmas - has anyone got one/had one, and are they any good?

My MIL got one last Christmas and my SIL asked for a nice photo of each little family together and she uploaded them on there. FIL said she sat there all morning before everyone arrived just watching it/looking at it. I haven't seen it since Christmas day though

We have one, mixed feelings on whether it's good really.

We don't have space for loads of photos and very rarely get any printed so in that sense it's nice to have some displayed. We don't get round to updating them very often though. My gran really liked hers when she moved into a home as she didn't have much space, so it was a way for her to have quite a big photo collection, and a nicemtalking point for us all looking through when we visited.

Downside for me is that it's a bit pants at portrait format pictures, they end up being scaled down to really small with big black spaces either side, so keep that in mind when taking pictures for it.

Maybe I need to think again!
