I saw a thread once with a tonne of great suggestions, can’t for the life of me find it now. So please throw some good recommendations my way! 😊 πŸŽ… 🌲 ⛄️

Depends on the age you're looking for but as my kids have progressed from toddlers to early teens they've loved:
The Night Before Christmas (obviously!)
Father Christmas
The Empty Stocking
A Child's Christmas in Wales
Lost Christmas
The Box of Delights

Also, I'm wracking my brain to think what it could have been called, but when my eldest two were little, we had a beautifully illustrated collection of Christmas stories. It was hardback and had about 8 different stories in, one was about a little girl whose Mum was having a baby and while the midwife was with the Mum, the Dad took the girl to cut holly to make a wreath. Another one was about a girl called Rosie going to school on the last day of term and it snowed. I wish I could think what it was called because I'd love to get it again for my little niece and nephew!

Oh last year's post on this was full of brilliant suggestions! A few mentioned Jan Brett, but I wasn't sure I liked the style, I did get a second hand copy of the Christmas Trolls though and I'm so glad I did, it was really loved by me and mine last year, definitely planning on getting one of the others this year.

Other favourites of mine are Alfie's Christmas, Lucy and Tom's Christms, Angel Mae and the Christmas baby, Snow in the Garden a first book of Christmas all by Shirley Hughes, and a new Dogger at Christmas has just been released if you are a fan of the original. The illustrations aren't as good in the new as the old ones but Shirley Hughes is 93 now!

We like Mog's Christmas, Stick Man, Richard Scarry Best Christmas Book Ever, Pick a Pine Tree.

For toddlers Spots Christmas and Dear Santa and a range of 'That's not my'books in Christmas theme, Pip and Posy and the Christmas tree.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some, we have a huge box in the loft that I bring down begining of December. I like them more than the kids tbh.

Cops and Robbers (Ahlberg) is set on Christmas Eve and is one of my favourites.

The Alfie book set at Christmas (Alfie's Christmas) is also lovely

Some gorgeous books mentioned here and some of them have brought a tear to my eye reminding me of Christmas as a child ❀️

I'm not sure where you get them but Google might help - my girls had a gorgeous personalised one bought last year called 'The Christmas Snowflake'
