Normally we but DP tickets for a show but not happening this year. DM is easy to buy for. DF on the other hand is a nightmare.
I have decided to do a goodie box for him
So far I have various old sweets he likes, lager, crossword book, couple of novels.
What else can I put in. Hes a young 82 but doesn't really have any hobbies.

Does he like feeding the birds in the garden? Maybe something for that. I bought mine some fat balls for their bird feeder and tables. They arrived in a huge tub so will have to rethink how to wrap.
Something for the garden?
Does he like music? Play an instrument?
Trains? I bought my Dad a Bradshaw’s book as he enjoys the Michael Portillo train tv programmes.
A subscription to Now tv or similar?
Gloves, scarf, slippers, socks?
Jigsaws?
I think females are far easier to buy for then men! I’m sure your DF will love whatever you buy for him.

my lovely Dad is 89 & never wants anything - however last year he suddenly asked for decent handkerchiefs & a new aftershave as he wanted to try something different.

other items that have been well received - good quality slippers, a furry throw for top of bed or to put over his legs whilst watching tv, bird feeder for garden, nice smelling hand sanitiser (I bought him Aesop), planted up trough with winter pansies for garden, soft licquorice, cashmere scarf
