Just had the dreadful thought... Will these manage to go ahead this year?

The local one is massive, and lots of people rely on it. They were predicting the demand to be larger than ever this year. But it relies on people getting to the drop off points with the toys, and the families being allowed in the 'shop' to chose the presents.

Fingers crossed they can go ahead. I've got my donations ready.

Our local one is asking people to donate money this year so they can buy toys and give them out.

The Salvation Army were on my local radio the other week talking about this and they were saying they have set up a wish list with Amazon to people could order and ship straight to them for wrapping and delivery.

Would you have a link at all @Clutterbugsmum ? I tried searching 'The Salvation Army' but just got books about them. Thank you.

If you put in your Post Code it will give you your nearest shop/donation place.

Our local one seems to be going ahead. They want the donations earlier than usual so they can quarantine them but that's the only difference I've noticed from the stuff they've put out so far.

Unfortunately there was confirmation this afternoon that the major local one, coordinated by sixth formers at one of the Secondary Schools, cannot go ahead this year. Sad

Our local one is going ahead and you can either buy on their Amazon wishlist or you could buy things at a discount in the local toy shop and they'll pass the gift straight onto the organisers.

It's in North and East London if anyone is interested. toy appeal
