Decorations from straws?

I have some foiled paper straws in silver and gold. I'd like to make something Christmassy out of them.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable crafty site? Google isn't throwing up much. For me.

Perhaps have a look at how to make a corn dolly? You could use the bell shape as a tree decoration, or heart or twist shapes?

Making wheat straw stars is a traditional German Christmas activity, and you should be able to copy many of the traditional designs with man made straws. There are loads of pictures if you google "German straw stars". Have fun!
