Which skateboard?

Thinking of a skateboard for DS age 8 and not sure where to start, is there any difference between brands? He's well used to bike and scooter and is tall but slim if that makes any difference?! Not sure what to look for!

Pennyboard might be good for such a small child...wouldn’t be cool for a teen at a skatepark but quite manageable for a beginner

Skatehut are always very helpful. A penny board would be quite good but if he fancies a skateboard for tricks etc I’d go for a Tony Hawk one.

I've bought DD a skateboard gryom Decathlon. We already have scooters and skates from there, and they to have very good quality for the price. They have a guide to choosing an appropriate board here:
