I popped into my local just now on my lunch (Northumberland) and they were putting them out , kind staff member told me she had two boxes upstairs so I got my F today!

I was on the thread last year under a different name and this is going to sound pathetic but it is one of my nicest memories from the shitshow that was 2020 as a lovely Mumsnetter found a sack with the right initial and posted it to me. I then was able to pay it forward and get a couple of sacks sent to another poster. They were selling like hotcakes and in a really rubbish year it was a lovely lesson in the kindness of strangers. I'll keep an eye out this year and if I can help anyone I will, although hopefully there'll be more stock this time round.

Does anyone know if there's an 'X' sack this year? I've looked online at B&M but no info yet. Otherwise I might have to see if I could alter one & sew on an X Hmm

Just hot footed it to my local store after reading these, only to find they only have grey ones!! Confused oh well, there are another 2 or 3 branches I can try so I'll report back next week!

I've just been discussing this on the bargain thread after going to my B&M this morning and thought I would share my post here too:

*I did however get to B&M and got all 5 initials in both the stockings and sacks. The lady on the tills said I was very lucky, and that they will be gone by the end of the day. She said some people are buying trolleyfulls to put on eBay like last year, so stores may introduce a limit per customer very soon. She also said, they are one of the first things that go on the shop floor for Christmas, they get 4 or 5 deliveries starting around now...and then that's it! Why they don't produce enough for the demand is beyond me. Maybe they like the hype surrounding it and knowing people will keep going in to search and inevitably buy something else whilst there.

Just thought anyone keen to get them might like the heads up xx*

Although, this year there's red and grey. So maybe that means double the amount if you count stock of both colours, but I can't imagine very many people wanting the grey ones when you see the red in comparison.

Any one wanting the size I've just measured L65cm W50cm (I didn't include the drawstring top in measurements just the bag). I'm popping back in on Monday for one for me as I left myself out, if anyone is after a letter let me know.

@whatwillicallmyself I'm sorry I don't, it was just the sacks I bought, I can measure when I'm in there on Monday, but to be honest I got so excited seeing the sacks I didn't notice any stocking.

Stockings are approximately 40x18cm, with a tiny toe. Last year they were about right, not too big that you need to fill with loads of stuff but not too tiny either.

There were red and grey ones and seemed to be a fair selection of letters. I got the extra one that I needed.
