TBH I don't think I'd look for a set as such. I think I'd buy the individual pieces that they need from normal ranges and wrap them nicely.
I have a feeling that any sets marketed at kids would end up falling into the buy cheap buy twice category of stuff.

Came to say pretty much that. Buy bits and bobs and not something kid specific. Kid specific stuff are often shite. If you want your 9yo to bake, start with good utensils and equipment.

I agree, get them proper kit. If you want something fun and don't already have them, how about including a big cookie cutter set eg

  • we had one similar which we got quite a lot of use from.
Also of course you can add writing icing, packs of decorative bits and suchlike.

Thanks for all your advice. Will buy separately as that was the problem. All the sets didn't look good that I could find. Will definitely get the big tub of cookie cutters. Thanks for your help

You could add this into it?....just add eggs, milk etc
Suppose it’s cheating slightly but looks good

I'd buy seperates but have some way to make sure they are her set, as nice bag or box she can keep them in, otherwise you risk it just becoming part of the kitchen.

I actually use an Ikea children's pan set (fits on the raclette) I think they are the only ones who make things for baking rather than just toys.

A nice apron too
