I'd like to avoid giving DS hot chocolate all the time in December, but struggling to think of alternatives except hot apple juice. Ideally not too sugary!

Yorkshire Tea do a bedtime brew that is decaf tea with nutmeg and vanilla. It is lovely! (And not very strong tea flavour unless you steep it for quite a while)

@AnnaMagnani just trying to make Christmas and the festive season nice after a shit year in which people DS and I loved died.

The reason I'm asking is lots of suggestions of nice things to do over the festive period are often go and look at Christmas lights with hot chocolate, go for a wintry walk with hot chocolate, curl up and watch a Christmas film with hot chocolate. I just wanted some other suggestions of what we could have.

FWIW he likes warm milk so I know he likes a 'hot' drink.

The Lidl mulled punch @BitGutted mentioned is very nice. I get through a fair few bottles myself!

I came on here to say hot blackcurrant. I gave some (partly cooled) to DGS when he was 3. He loved it.
