What are anyone with a 3yrs old getting for their Christmas?

My son was approaching 3 last year and we got him a balance bike, a car mat along with some hot wheels cars. A car garage. He loves cars so most of his presents were along this theme!

Lots of ideas on this thread

DS will be 3.5 and is getting schleich animals and dinosaurs, a marble run and some Playmobil 123.

Smarshian · 09/10/2020 06:34

I have an almost 4 year old DD (birthday in Dec) and a 2.5 year old DS. Both are getting micro scooters for Christmas. He is dinosaur obsessed so will probably end up with loads of little dinosaur bits. Not sure about extras for her yet.

@Twilightstarbright Don’t bother with the 123, go for the proper Playmobil sets for a 3.5 year old. The older Playmobil sets don’t pose any greater choking risk than marbles and he’ll play with them for much longer.

Twilightstarbright · 09/10/2020 06:41

@Fivemoreminutes1 thanks but DS has some development delays and can't handle normal Playmobil!

Thomas trackmaster set
Toy work bench (Smoby black and decker)
Kinetic sand
Design and Drill set

Dressing up costumes (superhero), wooden fire station, take apart diggers, giant cardboard space rocket from hobbycraft.

A scooter, magnatiles, brio or tegu blocks?
We got my DD a leapstart when she was 3 last year and it's been great :) you can get him extra books for birthdays.

sqirrelfriends · 09/10/2020 08:48

A scooter, kinetic sand, some playmobil and an easel.

Balance bike/scooter
Duplo (DS will be four this year but he's having the cargo train, if you have a tablet you can use it like an electric train)
Playmobil
Books
Marble run (Galt)
Dressing up stuff

Magnatiles mentioned by pp are also brilliant and I'd recommend.

BlenheimOrange · 09/10/2020 18:37

First pedal bike if I can find a good second hand one, as he’s doing well with balance bike

Last year the leapfrog ice cream cart was a massive success for our 3 year old DS and is still played with most days
