MAC Advent Calendar

As a special treat this year, I was planning to buy DD the MAC Advent calendar - whenever it is finally on sale.
However I jut watched a YouTube review of last year's and everyone in the comments was saying what a rip-off it is, it's full of samples etc etc and the damning reviews have made me rethink big time.
Any experience?

I got the body shop one today, I upgraded DC to the £70 one.

I have a vegankind snack subscription box. DD (17) and I don't do makeup and a lot is animal tested or not vegan. Even The Body shop has an mlm arm. I am clearly not the best person to advise on this but a better use of your money would surely be to give her some cash for makeup/smellies/skincare and she can have the joy of choosing what she genuinely likes.

To clarify I like a surprise in my snack subscription box but wouldn't want the surprise of a lot of things I might not want, even if I wasn't vegan. Beauty calendars are only a good idea if you really enjoy trying lots of different cosmetics. Otherwise much of it is destined to clutter up a drawer.

MAC advent calendar has been released

Last year I waited until Black Friday and got DD 12 full sized items for £130sh. Wrapped up with a chocolate advent calendar as 12 days of Christmas x

Rainbow - I got the early notification from MAC and bought one right away in panic in case they sold out..... Got a notification a week later saying "hurry up they're selling out fast!"
Uhm. Yeah. Needn't have rushed then 🤣
