Christmas Hamper

I’d like to make up Christmas Hampers for a couple of family gifts this year.

Any ideas for what to put in for a family with teenage children? All needs to be non perishable as I won’t be seeing them near the day.

Also where can I get a hamper or suitable Christmas box to put it in?

I would get a lovely wooden crate from hobby craft or amazon which I'm also planning to do.
Mine aren't for teenager children but I'm going to attempt to make my own chocolate truffles, Xmas cookies, sloe gin or homemade toffee vodka in little small glass bottles, then I'll add in Xmas shop bought biscuits, fancy crisps, I like to add in the small chocolates from hotel chocolat, I put my own cheese and cracker set together too, I could go on!

For teenagers maybe substitute the alcohol etc for Xmas sweets, hot chocolate, look at some personalised bits and bobs online that maybe have their name on there's lots u can. Etsy is a good site xx

If you have an open air market - see if you can get a wooden crate off a stall, then clean and varnish it - I've done it with apple crates for hampers. For contents for teens - the chilli hot chocolate from Lidl went down well (might be Aldi actually sil bought it)

I'd go to M&S as they usually introduce a lot of Christmas-specific stuff, in Christmas packaging, like coffee, tea and hot chocolate, as well as packets of biscuits.

How about making some of your own chutney to put in? Delia has a recipe for Christmas chutney which is lovely. Buy some pretty little jars and wrap with ribbon to make it Christmassy.

Depends on your budget but some of my ideas:

• Whittard of Chelsea hot chocolate
• A tin of really nice biscuits
• A nice bottle of wine/spirit for the adults
• Share bags of festive flavoured crisps
• A game for the family

Bottle of red,
Hot chocolate
Biscuits (savoury and sweet)
Adding in a game like UNO flip or Dobble would make it more fun. Plus a family Christmas quiz with answers in an envelope.

Hampers (baskets, paper straw, cellophane and ribbon) from The Works.
Teenagers love sweets, fizzy or jelly or haribo type things. Also hot chocolate.

Also when it comes to sweets they appreciate quantity over quality.

I get a sturdy open box and wrap it with Christmas paper, when everything is in it I put a big bow on top.
