How old is your DS? It’s one of those things that sells on fb / eBay at this time of year, as it keeps its value quite well, and always looks as new. So you may be able to pick up some bargains that way.
Otherwise I’m not sure about offers.
We have a few bits:- camper van, swimming pool, camping set, playground, tractor. They’ve lasted incredibly well through three children (dc3 turns 6 this month, but still plays with them all)

If you sign up you get 15% off the first order. Keep an eye out as every set we have had has been discounted either directly, Argos or amazon. They have bundles offers directly too which are excellent value.

He will be 5, massively into imaginary play. Has massive amount duplo/ trainset/ castle etc. Lucky boy got daddy's old toys. Lots of toy people and animals too. Looking to start lego next year.

Thinking of aquarium perhaps. Definitely will get the campervan. Any recommendations on big sets? Thinking about space stuff.......

amazon.de and amazon.fr often have good reductions on playmobil, worth keeping an eye on them.

Playmobil is German and it's always cheaper there than in the UK often with great offers on some sets. We have tended to pick some up on our city break visits in the past.

I'd be tempted to have a look at Amazon.de or similar in case it could be delivered cheaper than buying from Amazon UK.

Definitely price watch on Amazon, or look at direct and bundle prices on the Playmobil website.

My son is 5 and loves his camperVan. He got the Space mission rocket for his birthday and both he and his 7 year old brother play with it lots.

We started with one big set - castle - and added on over the years. Expensive but worth it as they get a lot out of it and a small set is not giving them as much.

I agree with trying directly with Playmobil or Amazon.de, I am German and found it worth the shipping costs. In the past Playmobil itself also sold extras you couldn’t get in shops.

We also bought figurine sets on eBay to boost the sets. The first year DD’s grandparent also added to it.

Keep an eye on John Lewis as well - they often have 25% off.

Best set for my daughter was the swimming pool. Especially in the garden in the summer!

I miss our playmobil days!
You can sign up for their damaged box sales too - they email out a list of what is available and it's normally really good discounts.
I always got the bits out the boxes and made them up ready for birthdays and Christmas as it's quite fiddly and time consuming (but I did enjoy it !) so a damaged box never bothered me...

Keep an eye out on Amazon prime day (13th/14th october) they often have offers on. As do very, JL and Argos. The playmobil website bundle deals are often good, sign up for promo code. Delivery was free over £30 and packaged well. We bought the pet hotel and cat boarding bundle as it was the best price and bought the small animal set and groomers online at George Asda in their recent toy sale. They still have the take along police station on offer for £30 instead of £39.99 which im trying to resist buying im also trying to resist buying the playmobil adventure tree house in Argos, ill twitch and buy (put it away for 5th birthday) if it goes on offer, more for me than grandaughter!

Fantastic thankyou very much- I'll keep an eye on Amazon /john Lewis and the website. Damaged box list sounds good too- we'd make it up in advance, good idea!!

Sainsburys did a huge toy sale last year (think it was around late Oct/Nov time) and we snagged some huge discounts on Playmobil, pretty sure it was around 50% off. Not sure if the sale will happen again this year due to Covid though...

Yesterdayforgotten · 07/10/2020 20:08

We actually got a great price on a fun park pickup van that came with a car and little picnic set etc for only £17.50 from the playmobil site.

Elphaba17 · 08/10/2020 17:39

Tesco have a small playmobil fire engine reduced to £20 in their sale.

llamaparades · 16/10/2020 08:15

If you sign up for the playmobil birthday club you get 20% off and free stuff delivered plus they send it pretty much straight away
