Well, that's the first box in the process of being demolished!!! Anyone else unable to resist them?!

Luckily I've forgotten where I put mine. I'm confident I'll remember in plenty of time for them to be consumed waaaay before Christmas.

sueelleker · 09/10/2020 19:59

I got 4 boxes, but I've put them away safely.

XiCi · 09/10/2020 20:08

They are gorgeous. I also picked up a make your own florentine kit in Home Bargains today. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out Smile

IamChipmunk · 09/10/2020 20:10

They are amazing! We had several boxes last year along with their baked cammembert! Also really good!

thelegohooverer · 09/10/2020 20:15

I discovered them a few years ago and it took me several attempts to get a box home as they mysteriously disappeared on the drive back. Grin

DinosaurOfFire · 10/10/2020 11:43

Yep... accidentally ate all the boxes I bought as gifts, went back to replace them and they were out of stock! I hope they have more in!

Jbck · 10/10/2020 11:47

Are they milk or plain?

dementedma · 10/10/2020 11:49

Best ever. I’m stocking up and trying not to eat them now

SansaClegane · 10/10/2020 12:06

I can't buy them, or they'd be gone within hours! Trying to lose weight at the moment so I might get a box for the Christmas holidays, but I have to hold off until then 🙈 they're just too delicious.

sueelleker · 10/10/2020 17:15

@Jbck

  1. almond and hazelnut brittle with milk
  2. hazelnuts coated in white 3)hazelnuts with milk base 4)hazelnuts coated in dark 5)almonds with dark base 6)hazelnuts coated in milk
  3. almond and hazelnut brittle with white. I don't know of any other florentines that come in such a variety; usually they're just mixed together, with one or the other chocolates as a base.
ohidoliketobe · 10/10/2020 17:17

I love them. Didn't realise they were already out and my DSis is store manager so I'll give her hell later! Tempted to pull the preg card and send DH out for some now.
I go through at least 5 boxes a year.

Jbck · 10/10/2020 18:21

@sueelleker 🤤

dementedma · 12/10/2020 19:11

Just tried the Aldi blood orange crumble mince pies. Oh my word! Get yours before I buy the entire stock!!

ScrapThatThen · 12/10/2020 19:13

I love them and am also trying to decide if it's too much faff to bake and send Florentines as Christmas presents after seeing them make them on bake off.

magicstar1 · 12/10/2020 19:14

I’m finished my second box of salted caramel crumble mince pies Grin
I’ll have to try those blood orange ones next

Mrsmadevans · 12/10/2020 19:33

Was wondering what the mince pies were like thank you for telling us , l also am a fan of Aldi Florentines Grin

MsMiaWallace · 20/10/2020 17:57

I picked up the florentine's & Stollens & put them back thinking they were a bit pricey.... are they worth the price? I've not tried them before

MrsHSW · 21/10/2020 08:21

Not tried but look so yummy. Great as gifts.

nancybotwinbloom · 21/10/2020 08:24

Do florentines contain raisins?

Anyone have any good easy recipes without raisins?

And also a method of what to do?

aToadOnTheWhole · 21/10/2020 17:45

Oh Lord they're so, so good. If there's anything I'd both panic buy and stockpile it's Aldi florentines Grin

grassisjeweled · 21/10/2020 17:46

Blood orange crumble mince pies?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/10/2020 18:01

@grassisjeweled

Blood orange crumble mince pies?
Sounds hideous. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to mince pies! Xmas Grin
MsMiaWallace · 21/10/2020 20:31

What about the stollen bites?

Scarby9 · 21/10/2020 20:40

Has anyone checked the calorie count on a box?
I dare not look (and have promised myself not to buy any until December this year) because I cannot eat less than a box at a time.

MrsPerfect12 · 21/10/2020 20:43

OMG they're amazing!!
Must try the HB kit @XiCi sounds fab
