PlayStation 5 pre-orders.

I’m planning on getting DS a PS5 for Christmas, but didn’t realise that they are already sold out everywhere, even though it’s just pre-orders at the moment!

I’ve signed up for re-stock alerts on
Amazon
Argos
Very
Game

Any idea where else I should be looking?

We managed to get one pre-ordered on very last week - my DP signed up with something called stockinformer.co.uk which sent him an email as soon as stock was available anywhere and we got on and reserved it.

Just be aware even if you pre order you may not get it in time for christmas, as there are issues with stock allocation.

I managed to get three of them for myself, my sister and my eldest daughter on Currys. As well as per order they will have them on release date in the shops but the lines are expected to be looooong. Quite a few people have managed to get them on very so it's worth checking frequently and also sign up to stock informer.

My son has pre ordered his from Game for the day of release, they had 300 on pre order and all were sold within an hour.

I’m not 100% bothered if he gets it on the actual day. He is 16, so understands the problems trying to get one.
I’ve signed up to stockinformer so fingers crossed!

Ive 2 on preorder with game. Managed to order instore on the 1st day. Smyths also do them if keep an eye on there. I wasnt going to preorder as husband said there wud be no problem getting them. Glad i didnt listen

Apparently they are going to be on sale on launch day but only online due to covid to prevent queues

Or do they release them in the early morning?

Apparently Amazon is 12pm tomorrow. Very and currys apparently also getting stock. Some not guaranteed before Christmas as far as i know. Id be up and down checking through the night if it was me

Apparently game going live at 9am. Amazon 12pm. Also try smyths, currys, argos, very, tesco and asda.

If you are an EE customer, you can get a PS5 on add to plan which also spreads the cost over 10 months.

It's a bit tricky to do, but I (think) I just got one. I had to log in first, and the first couple of times it just kept taking me in a loop to the login screen, but on the third try it worked.

Thank you so much @TheLastStarfighter! We couldn’t get hold of any this morning, queued for Curry’s, John Lewis, Argos, Studio, Smyths, AO.com and loads more. Then tried what you described above (DH has an EE account) and we have ordered one no problems! I’m hoping that we can just pay in 1 lump sum instead of spreading the cost, but I’m just relieved to have got one for my son!

I didn’t get one. So sad. I work full time and tried my best but couldn’t be active on sites all day. I stayed up til 1am too. So disappointing especially as it’s for my 9 year old so I really wanted it for him.

Sign up to stock informer whitewhite and set it to alert you. I know today’s launch day, but they’re still likely to be released in waves.
I know for example Argos were saying they will hopefully be getting more stock before Xmas even though they didn’t have any today.

It’s worth having, fingers crossed for you

@Whitewhite same here! I was actually late for work and awake at various times throughout the night trying, and refreshing, lots of different windows open.

Luckily my husband got one (his day off so had time) through stock informer which is mentioned above. Try that, fingers crossed!!
