Main gift for dd (almost 17)?

Would like to get something for dd although she said she would be happy with money. She’s not girly, not really into clothes, doesn’t wear make up and doesn’t do any sport. She’s just started A levels and is doing computing and is hoping to go on to do computing at uni so I was wondering if there’s anything computer related I could get her to help her with her studies? She already has a laptop which should last her until she goes to uni (will then update it to a better one), she has a phone and a fire tablet which is now quite old. I’m thinking possibly a new tablet but have no idea if it would be useful? At the moment most of her course seems to be coding which I have no idea about.

So any ideas on tablets or possibly another gift that might be useful?

I know some students use iPads with the Apple pencil quite a lot to anotate lecture slides and things, but I'm not sure how good this would be specifically for computing/coding courses

I’m not sure, I have a iPad as does her sister but she doesn’t seem keen on having one herself (though she would love a Mac book one day). I had a little look at the surface pro but I’m not sure if that will be much different than her laptop.

No help but just wondering if it would be worth a chat with her teacher? They might have some suggestions linked to upcoming requirements on her course.
