Couples presents

I have 4 couples to buy for - 2 are in their 20's and 2 are in their 50's.

I was going to do m&s hampers for the 2 in their 50's but can anyone recommend a more cool/young type hamper for the younger couples?

Or any ideas welcomed!!

Would like to keep it simple this year due to covid and possibly no mixing - I thought I could get hampers delivered directly.

Are you buying ready made hampers or making your own? Not sure about ready made cool hampers but I reckon you can't go wrong creating your own with a bottle of gin, two gin glasses, some tonic and one savoury and one sweet snack if that's in your budget?

Another vote for make your own. You could create a cosy night in type hamper. Hotel chocolat dipping adventure for two looks yum and you could add a nice candle or something along those lines too?

I’m buying a few of the Hotel Chocolat dipping adventures for friends. It’s a gift I’d love myself

I'd normally suggest 'something to do' vouchers eg restaurant or cinema, but given the current uncertainty, maybe not.

I think the M&S hamper is a good idea, but maybe change some of the items to suit their tastes.

I asked cartmel sticky toffee pudding to do bespoke one for my mum's birthday and they were great!! It was lovely, not only as she loves their stuff but it didn't look mass produced. It might be worth having Google as farm shops might do a local hamper from an area that is special to them. For example my sister sent my parents one from the tobermory fish company that was delicious. A lot of these small local companies will really benefit from your trade this Christmas, as they've missed the tourists this year.

Hi I've ordered a couple of hampers from Costco last year as gifts to send directly to people and they were very well received.

There might be one suitable for younger couples like the Christmas Eve night type ones maybe, cosy cuddled up with a movie and some treats from the hamper. This is a link to the page. Sorry I'm new to the site so haven't worked out short links yet.

If they enjoy cooking I recommend the Spicery’s how to be a curry legend kit, it comes in beautiful gift tin with spice blends to make up to 10 dishes from the cookbook. I got this last year for dh & it was a massive hit. They usually have a sale at the end of October and there are referral codes on the thread.
