Two Flamingo loofahs for DDs stockings.
Stockings are my favourite part... And I always end going slightly overboard as I buy littl.e things from September onwards.

It's time to start the present box in the spare room.

Ooh I love these threads.
This will be our first "proper" family Christmas. Last year DS was 12 weeks old and DP was working. So I am a teensy bit excited. I'm pribwbly going OTT but I don't care. This is one thing that coronavirus will not mess with!

So far I have:

  • Personalised Christmas eve box
  • Personalised Santa sack for DS

For Christmas eve box:

  • Personalised Santa plate
  • Snowman/Father Christmas DVD
  • Spot's First Christmas book

For Santa sack:

  • Tractor and trailer with animals
  • sock puppet
  • wooden pull along turtle with a xylophone
  • little life backpack and reins
  • personalised dressing gown
  • 360 cup
  • new swimming costume

For stocking:
-Toot toot car
-Crayons

For other people:

  • ps4 game for DP
  • caffetiere for DM
  • bird feeder carved from a coconut for DP's uncle.

Wow I'm doing quite well! DS is nearly done. I just want to get him a ride on toy and some building blocks.

I've never started this early but I had too much time on my hands during maternity leave! Back at work now so it will probably slow down! Also if we go back into lockdown at least DS and DP's presents will be mostly sorted!

Got to be fairly frugal this year as I've been made redundant, but have found a few nice bits in TK Maxx - a Moleskine notebook for DH, various pens and coloured pencils for DD (who is currently training to be a teacher) and some velvet scrunchies. Also a bottle of Jones the Bones muscle rub oil for DH as I have read great reviews about it.

Sweets, chocolate and a kite for DS's stocking.

We can't buy his Christmas present yet as he's a November birthday.

SpnBaby1967 · 20/09/2020 14:55

I've bought some socks for DD11 & DD8. That's it.

But I have been noting ideas for all the kids and family members already and have some money saved ready for starting shopping.

@FilthyforFirth

Thanks to the bargain thread, nearly done! I am due a baby in mid November however!

Have 5 family members left and DS main present, just waiting to see if his lego will be cheaper during Black Friday.

Need to get wrapping, I have over 50 according to my gift app...

I’m done for both DC, with the exception of a couple of pre-orders and 2/3 stocking fillers.

I’m just waiting for a Costco trip for wrapping paper. We drove straight out yesterday as the queue was huge. We live very close though, so not like we’d made a special trip.

I also need Aldi to do their wrapping, as I need a couple of their tissue paper packs for the stockings.

I have ordered the H&B Advent Calendar , I don't usually buy them but I read the threads on the day-to-day M&S one ..........of which this year there will be none .

Two Terry's Chocolate Oranges - no hope of seeing a glimpse of Christmas , my DS knows they're in the pantry .

I said to DH there were a few Christmas items filtering into the shops but I didn't buy any . He was all "What if there's another Lockdown?"

I plan like a Ninja Warrior , we'll be fine .

I8toys · 20/09/2020 17:10

Matalan wrapping paper
Ghost advent calendars 1 for me and 1 for DM
H&B advent calendar for me
Pukka tea advent calendar for DM
Jigsaw roll and jigsaw for MIL
Bird grow a plant thing from M&S for MIL
2 x Gin from M&S
Under Armour pant things for DH
2 x shortbread biscuit tin from M&S
2 tubs of Christmas chocolates
Green & Black chocolates
Will try to preorder the X Box X series on Tuesday as a joint for DS's

Its a start!

@Aroundtheworldin80moves have they got Amazon Alexa devices in their rooms? Would be great for playing Audible books on. Also good for music, alarms, light bulbs, meditations, games, intercom, to make calls from etc

TheCrow · 21/09/2020 16:39

Added a tokidoki doughnut cat plush (tk maxx bargain) and some cheap big hair bows from home bargains. Also some unicorn gift tags and a couple of tree decorations

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 27/09/2020 17:23

Since started this I've picked up more stocking stuff...

  • a Mini Boo each (like Beanie Boos, but little ornaments)
  • cake decorating stuff- paper cases, sprinkles and toppers.
