What is everyone getting their 6 year old bots for Christmas please?

I have double the challenge as it's also his birthday 6 weeks before Christmas!

He is totally obsessed by space so we are thinking a telescope but then get a bit stuck!

That was supposed to be 'boy' and not 'bots' of course! Smile

AlphabetDinosaur · 15/09/2020 21:38

The Lego space rocket or Lego lunar space station?

Yellowcar2 · 15/09/2020 21:38

Snap for Mario Lego, I'm secretly excited to give it a try too.

Mallowmarshmallow · 15/09/2020 22:11

Playmobil space stuff? There's a space station and rocket and a few other bits.

My two (almost 5 and almost 7) love playmobil and get a lot of use out of it....

I think h&m and primark have nasa themed stuff like clothing and accessories.

Any building stuff like lego, knex or magnetic stuff tends to be a hit with boys of that age.

Most places like b&m, the works etc. Will have space themed science experiment kits.

What about tickers for a science museum near by? X

Voiceofreason92 · 15/09/2020 22:23

Board games that my 6 year old loves (and are perfectly playable for adults are
-my first Carcasonne
ticket to ride- my first journey

My son had a birthday last week and loved

  • a skateboard
  • a magician set
  • hot wheels
CaptainMerica · 16/09/2020 14:01

Mario lego here too! And Amiibo for his Wii U.

A few science type sets, e.g. geodes, and a snap circuits set, as he loves stuff like that.

A leapfrog globe.

Spirograph (because I want it)

Also, I was worried it was a bit no-fun educational (even though he loves that stuff, honestly), so I’ll add something like remote control fighing robots or similar.

Strokethefurrywall · 16/09/2020 14:06

My 6 year old is getting:

iPad mini
Harry Potter hogwarts express LEGO
Stomp rocket
Magician set
Griffyndor beanie hat
Lava lamp
Balloon animal set
Pokémon cards

The boys have been sharing an 8 year old iPad that no longer updates and given Covid and zero travel (we live on Caribbean island with no chance of getting back to UK for at least another 6 months), we're doing the big gift year this year. There won't be another one for a LONG time!

I'm bumping this as I'm desperate for ideas as we just had my son's birthday and he already has so much!

What is everyone getting their 6 year olds please?

So far we have a telescope on the list and yet more kinetic sand but nothing else!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/11/2020 10:15

Galt Space Lab Science set. My DD got that last year and we had a lot of fun with it.

TwinklingLights · 18/11/2020 12:52

My youngest ds is 6 he’s asking Santa for a drum kit , also getting the following to give you some ideas
Art and craft bits
Lego (Minecraft!)
Football and astro trainers
Books
Darts (a kid set from smyths)
Rubix cubes (he loves his big brothers!)
Camo net and army face paint to make a den in garden
Jigsaw and memory game
Skaletrix

Other ds just turned 8 and loved his remote control car , a rock crawler type with big chunky wheels that crawls over obstacles. and Walkie talkies were a big hit also! He liked his musical keyboard last year and police playmobil, swingball off the top of my head..
Trampoline also gets played with daily..
Hope that gives you some ideas, it’s hard when they have so much already isn’t!
