What are you getting you getting your 8 year old son? Looking for ideas

DS is getting the Lego Minecraft Creeper Mine set as his main present.
He's also getting Yu-Gi-Oh cards and t-shirt
Minecraft backpack,
13 Storey Treehouse book set,

Electronic Money box.

He'll also get a few other small, useful bits and pieces plus a stocking.

1st December box?
What fresh hell is this??

We don’t do a Christmas Eve box - we do it 1st December instead. We don’t normally get anything for the school holidays either but are planning to isolate before Christmas so we can see grandparents.

Christmas Eve boxes are also no better but at least the DCs can't hear about them the next day at school!

Mine get their xmas eve box on 1st December too, courtesy of my dsis. It means they get to wear their xmas pjs from 1st December and get way more use out of the Christmas activity books/dvd/decorations/crockery than if they got it on xmas eve.

Lego Mario starter kit and bow and arrow.
He's asked for a torch and a hottub. I'm going to try and get the hot tub but as a family gift because no 8yr old needs their own

😂 They all go in and compare what advent calendars they have anyway. I can’t see getting a book and some PJs as well causing great envy!

Mine has his birthday before Christmas and we are getting him the Mario Lego starter kit, a Nintendo switch game, and various Pokemon toys. No idea what we will get him for Christmas

Mine is getting his own toolkit. Saw, hand drill, hammer, screwdriver set etch. Plus books on projects to have a go at.

Grandpa is making him a workbench in the farm workshop.

He is getting the new avengers game which is like £45-50 but it’s a bloody tiny present for the money.
He’s also getting new football boots and a football. A marble run. A cable guy controller holder thing. A mini safe with some fake V bucks inside and a voucher for vbucks. And a spiderman Garmin.
But I don’t have a wow gift. He got a new bike in lockdown... doesn’t need much else.

DS1 has just turned 8...he has requested Technic Lego that ‘has something electric’ and a puzzle. He got Lego Boost for his birthday which was a huge hit. Books - he’s currently loving Artemis Fowl. I’m seriously considering a pogo stick as he’s permanently on the move and needs more outlets for his energy. DM recently produced a charity shop child’s cricket set (he already has a bat) and that was a huge hit. We’ve previously gone for small pop up football goals that come out a fair bit.

Main present is an electric scooter.

He is also getting a new Liverpool kit, Liverpool bits for his stocking , duvet cover set pencil case wash bag etc

Customised training kit as he plays soccer for his local club (nice way to support the club too )

He will get vouchers and clothes from his aunties and grandparents.

He's getting the Mario kart game with the steering wheel and pedals for Nintendo Switch

Juventus kit/ training clothes

Ice Hockey goalkeeper helmet (he's asked for all the pads, but they cost a fortune and he'll grow out of them in a year) the helmets are painted with cool designs, so it looks really special.

He did want the Mario Lego, but we saw it set up in the toy shop and he was really disappointed with it, so changed his mind.

Ds 8 hasn't asked for anything at all yet so I've got him:

HP trivia cards 2 (he loves the first set so I hope it's new questions!)
Mac the spy kid book

He will probably ask for a couple of switch games so his granny and uncle can get those, otherwise I'll just get him a few more small presents and he can have something big next year if he so desires.
