11 year old boy extra bits/stocking fillers

This year I seem to have lots of ideas for my daughter but less for my son. He's 11 and all he's asked for is Rollerblades. He says he wants surprises..so I'm also planning on getting the starter Mario Lego set too. I'd like some ideas for a few extra smaller bits to get. Any suggestions?

Monopoly Deal. Get card game, just as evil as Monopoly but only takes 15mins to play

Credit card sized multi tool. Gadgety but useful.

Knee and elbow pads?

CeeJay81 · 06/09/2020 21:05

Thanks for the suggestions. That monopoly game is a good idea, perfect for his stocking. I will be getting the pads to go with his rollerblades too, forgot to mention those.

A couple of Mario mini figure bags in his stocking as I think they link in with the sets in some way (I was only half listening)

I said on another thread that I picked up some interesting Lego bricks that ds has pointed out in older sets in one of his books. You can order individual elements from the pick-a-brick section of the Lego store or sites like brickset.
If he likes building, 2x4 blocks are really useful though surprisingly scarce in modern sets. I got ds a hundred of them last year and he told me it’s been one of the best presents ever.

(Another vote for monopoly deal. It’s brilliant)

My son loves his inflatable lounger You just sort of swish it round in the air and it inflates. You can use them in the garden, or on the beach but they're great to use inside when your dc have friends over. These ones are about £35 but there are similar on amazon with great reviews for less than £20.

Mine was just 12 last year & the things he really loved from his stocking was a remote control colour changing lightbulb that someone on one of these threads recommended (was less than £10 from Amazon) & more grown up teenagerish lounging pj's, costa card & travelmug for taking hot chocolate to school

My 11 year old son is hard to buy for too so this are good suggestions. Want to get organised now in case we have a local lockdown / get ill ourselves etc.

CeeJay81 · 08/09/2020 11:02

SpringSunshine this is my thoughts exactly. Normally don't start till October but started already this year.

Good suggestions, thanks people.
