Wooden advent calendars

I'm looking for a wooden advent calendar that we can reuse every year. Ideally with drawers / slots big enough to hold a toy car (DS's currently into Hot Wheels). Everyone I've seen so far the drawers look tiny.

Any suggestions?

The works had lots of things like that when I went in today. They did look quite big to me, but I was not looking for them so did not really clock the size sorry
But might be worth having a look?

We have the East of India advent calendar with little rusty buckets. It is cute but the main reason I went for it is that you can fit bigger items in as they can stick out of the top, a toy car would fit fine.

The downside is that I have to wrap the items as they are visible, I just scrunch some tissue paper round though.

Does it have to be wood? You might get bigger pockets in a cloth one, or a set of little numbered bags on a line.

No doesn't have to be wood, will have a look at cloth ones - good idea!

Will also check out The Works, love it in there!!

We've got a wooden one with drawers. Beautiful. Pain in the ass to find things that actually fit.

We have one with small
Drawers and usually if things won't fit in I wrote what the item is on sparkly paper

We have cloth, pockets are great and they make nice decorative wall hangings for Christmas. When I was a kid my sister had one that was little drawstring bags from felt which would be great as a garland.

Used to have a velvet reusable advent calendar, I think I bought it from Lakeland but that was 15+ years ago. Pockets were a perfect size for Hot Wheels and Lego minfigures.

Maybe have a look on Ebay, this one is quite similar to what we had?

Hobbycraft and Etsy.

I got one from Hobbycraft that's has no doors/drawers in the spaces at all. I have to wrap and number all the gifts, but it does allow me to wedge in some bigger things as they can stick out the front. I also use blu-tack if they seem inclined to fall out. Unfortunately I can't see it on their website at the moment.

Perhaps you could get one with drawers, and if a gift won't actually fit in the drawer, just take the drawer out and put the present in its space as above.
