Is this a good gift idea?

This year I'm thinking of making some nice handmade gifts for some of our cousins children who are aged between 6-11.

I'm thinking a movie night hamper with popcorn and those retro popcorn containers snacks and voucher for digital rental movie. My husband thinks this is cheap and I should just buy a toy/voucher. Personally for me I hate January when dc have a tonne of toys and they open play with once and then I'm left sorting out stuff for charity.

My other option is one of the children loves baking so I was going to do a recipe in a jar for her.

What about adding a named jar of Nutella? Maybe not for the bath-themed one (unless you add a spoon), but Nutella goes well with popcorn or ice cream or practically anything else. And if you order one of the special jars with their name on, they can rinse and reuse it!

Absolutely love this idea for the ice cream hamper! Can anyone recommend a good site for ice cream toppings? And struggling to find wafers as well.

Re ice cream - Lakeland sell these packets of ice cream that you can make in the freezer just in a bowl
in 3 hours. Vanilla, mint choc chip and chocolate flavour. They actually taste pretty good! Anyway might be a fun addition to an ice cream hamper if the recipient has a freezer so they can make their own ice cream as well
