Santa visits

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone has found, or booked, their santa visits yet?
The venue we normally do every year isn't sure if they're going to be hosting Santa 🎅 this year and as this is probably the last year our (only) dc will probably be into visiting the big man in red I really don't want to miss it.
We're in Hertfordshire but would be willing to travel.
Thanks Christmas peeps.

We usually go to one of the Frosts garden centres and it is truly magical. They really put the money in to making the grotto and experiences feel real. Also their father Christmas is very authentic.
I wasn't sure if they would be running out this year but they have announced they will be and tickets go on sale on the 9th September.
I really want to take dc as we have gone every year since they were born but I also want to see what their actual plan is to decide if they will be managing risk factors appropriately.

@BumpkinSpiceBatty ooh thank you, I think there is a frosts not too far away so will definitely check them out.

Audley end mini railway do a really great one.
Also check out national trust near you. We went to one at Ickworth house last year and Santa was super traditional, told a story, gave all the dc a gift and then there was a craft to do afterwards.

@Modestandatinybitsexy thank you for the great ideas, I hadn't thought of Audley end railway, so will check that out. I've been keeping an eye on NT but haven't seen any Christmas announcements yet, I'll keep checking back though 👍🎄🎅

I’ve booked tickets for Lapland UK this year. Really hoping it won’t be wearing masks etc, as it will really spoil any magic

I second trying a nearby light railway - we’ve booked ours here in Yorkshire and very much looking forward to it, it was so magical last year.

I’ve emailed our local garden centre to ask if they’re doing their usual Breakfast with Santa but no response yet.

I was going to book it too, but I really think they'll be wearing masks, probably even Santa!! It's so much money and I didn't want to pay it and then not be able to get it back! Hopefully it will all be back to normal by then 🤞

@JinglesWish thank you, lapland UK looks amazing but sadly is out of our price range. I hope it stays mask free for you all.

@ALittlePitchy, thanks, that's good to know, nothing quite like a bit of Christmas magic 🎄😀🎅

The garden centres near us have all cancelled santa this year. I don't know what we will do. So sad.
