Stashing and organising gifts

I usually use a spreadsheet to keep track of everything I've bought but still end up feeling like I need to buy more. I am wondering about adding pictures of the gifts to the spreadsheet since I've seen some apps do that. Do you find it makes a difference having pictures? Do you have another way of reminding yourself vividly what you bought for people?

Can I ask if anyone has found any of those big plastic storage boxes for a reasonable price? I bought loads last year from Poundstrecher but they don't seem to have them anymore

I have a spreadsheet. It lists each person, all their presents from us, to/from each other (for the children), and from FX. It has a section for stocking presents too. I colour code it. Yellow for ideas; pale green when purchased; dark green when wrapped; blue when ready to place in bags/stockings. DH takes children away somewhere for an evening; I set up with a table, wrapping, stuff, presents, a bottle of ginger wine, and Die Hard and work my way through the lot. I then hide the main presents in plain sight, under piles of (clean) washing in the utility room. The stocking presents go on top of our wardrobe upstairs.

I have a Christmas notebook where I write everything Christmas related, including gifts. I start wrapping in December and put tags and ribbons so it is easy to see where the gift goes.

I keep them in drawer under the bed where kids can't find them because there is a crib next to it so it is pretty hard to get there.
