...and I'm so excited!!

This is our first time (and likely our last as this will be my eldest's last Christmas believing) and I'm sure Covid will mean it'll be different from previous years but if you have any tips, please let me have them!

It’s amazing I’ve been twice with my son who has autism . So magical and attention to detail is just fantastic

justanotherneighinparadise · 12/08/2020 21:44

We’ve booked for my son’s birthday. We booked before covid struck but hopefully it will still go ahead.

@BlueOooChristmas we bought Christmas tree ornaments and sweets inside Lapland itself (lovely little shops) and then a plush (about £25) on the way out. He was already given one by Santa but fell in love with another!

Swelteringmeltering · 14/08/2020 02:09

We went about 2 years ago. We got the 50 each tickets and loved it. Its immersive theatre as other pp said. Your part of the wonderful show.
My dds utterly adored it. Eldest didn't believe at that point but asked to help FC again 😍😍. Youngest was blown away.

I wouldn't put myself in debt over it, and as amazing as it is, other places like longleat certainly hold thier own with charm.

But we booked again this year, dd will be 8 and probably the last year to believe. I'm very excited and hope they both love it. Just wondering how they will do the fc part though?? Hopefully he won't be visor up

At the time we went, that other people awful Xmas experience with drunk Santa's, donkeys for reindeer, melted skating rinks.... Was all over the news.
Dh work mates were ripping it out of him for going and he himself was dreading it! He too was blown away.
(obviously he had not listened to a word I said about over the build up for months)

Boxachocs · 20/09/2020 17:05

We booked to go this year but getting worried that it won’t happen/will be very different.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/09/2020 19:20

Boxa I've bumped the more recent thread on Lapland -
Fingers crossed it still goes ahead .
I reckon they have the organisation to make it happen but maybe the indoor areas (like Father Christmas in his lodge) would have to be outdoors ?

Boxachocs · 20/09/2020 21:33

Thank you!

MolotovMocktail · 06/11/2020 17:32

Did anyone else book for November? Doesn’t look like it will go ahead. Our other Christmas activity has also been cancelled so it’s going to be a bit of a fun free festive season 😭

Autumnpumpkin · 06/11/2020 18:07

We are looking at going next year, there are no prices on their website. I know when I looked for a saturday in December it was nearly £700 for a family of 5 just wondering how that price compares to a November booking?

NullcovoidNovember · 06/11/2020 21:16

They are looking into the expanding the tours to get us in.
I'm not paying more for this, I refuse so how would that 👷 for December guests. Also I chose a twilight tour...

Boxachocs · 06/11/2020 22:12

I moved mine. Had to pay another £40.

Powerof4 · 11/11/2020 12:46

I'm going to have to cancel this year as the new slots are at 8am! It's lovely they tried, but I hope I'll be able to go next year instead at a better time of day.

NullcovoidNovember · 11/11/2020 19:35

@boxachocs..when did you move it? Why did you have to pay 40 extra?

Boxachocs · 11/11/2020 20:53

I moved it the evening the new restrictions were announced, I didn’t wait for Lapland UK to contact me. I had to pay extra because that date was more expensive being nearer to Christmas.

NullcovoidNovember · 11/11/2020 22:53

Ok thanks boxachocs.
Good thinking on your part!

We moved ours today. I'm very happy but with all the self isolating going on it will be an absolute miracle if we make it.

Girlyracer · 11/11/2020 23:12

We went to Enontekio a few years back. The most amazing thing we have ever done. Magical!

Girlyracer · 11/11/2020 23:15

Ignore me I clearly don't read things properly. I thought this was about the real Lapland. As you were.
