DD loves dolls. She has a couple of small ones at home but absolutely loves the larger doll at her childminders (more of a proper newborn size).
The one she likes has a soft body but proper hands, feet, head (hope that makes sense). It also cried and laughs.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
DD will be nearly 4 at Christmas if that makes any difference.
Thanks

I don't think you can go wrong with the Baby Annabelle range. They are good quality, look nice and there are so many accessories that you'll always be able to give present ideas to grandparents too Smile

My dds liked the La Corelle dolls, we have a few.

Watching with interest as also after a new one for dd.

I was too mean to buy one for DD but she played constantly with Baby Anabelle at her childminder's. She never took to other dolls so I'd say Baby Anabelle all the way

They don't cry or anything but the Argos Tiny Treasures are adorable. I have four of them - sorry I mean my daughter has four Grin.

They don’t have soft bodies but I love the Miniland dolls. They come in both sexes and lots of different races, and different ages/sizes as well. Lots of sellers on Etsy make adorable clothes for them. And they smell delicious!

By the way Baby Annabelle and Baby Born clothes fit each other (same company makes them). Their clothes also fit the Tiny Treasures dolls but the TT clothes are a little bit tight on Annabelle and Baby Born. Build a Bear clothes also fit.
Tkmaxx is good for Annabelle/Baby Born bargains.
I like dolls....

Thanks for the suggestions. Baby Anabelle looks good but bu not sure I can justify £50 for a doll Shock. I'll have to keep an eye out for offers between now and Christmas.

@Shufflebumnessie Smyths usually has offers on when they have their annual spend £50 save a £10. They sometimes sell the previous year's range for £30. My daughter was definitely more drawn to the Baby Annabelle. I think they're a good investment. She got hers at 2, and is now 8 and still occasionally plays with it.

My DD has several Baby Borns - she loves them to bits!

VashtaNerada · 30/07/2020 06:06

DS loved his Baby Annabelle but tbh played with the cheaper ones just as much! The one that wets itself lost its appeal fairly quickly though, I wouldn’t bother with one like that.

I had a Zapf creation doll and I loved her so much for years. I remember the day I got her, I was so proud. If you can afford it I'd say get her the Annabelle. There's nothing quite like a proper doll.

@MrsPworkingmummy thanks you. I was in Smyths last weekend and wondered if they ever had them on offer. Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye out.
