Kiddiezoom camera for 4 yo

I'm thinking about getting my 4yo a camera for Christmas. Is the Kiddiezoom any good?

Whenever I pull my camera out DS wants it so I'm thinking of one of his own but at the same time I'm conscious that having used a real camera it might be too babyish for him.

I got it for my 4, nearly 5yo at Christmas and it was his favourite present, plays with it all the time still! He had wanted it since he played with a friend's. He's still finding new effects etc he hasn't used before. It's not babyish at all imo!

Yes! We bought our grandaughter one for her 4th birthday in June and it was a big hit. We bought a memory card and rechargeable batteries to go with it because it eats up batteries as its 0layed with so much. She's enjoyed snapping wildlife, making videos of her horses and the games were a hit, she's still learning all it can do. Definatley something she will use for years to come.

My 6 year old got one at that age, she still plays with it lots.

4yo DS loves his. He's snapping on it constantly, recording funny voices, set up little photo shoots during lockdown or just playing games.

It was one of the best gifts he's received.

My 9&7yos still play with theirs. (Despite having access to a normal digital camera)

Very popular here with both our 4yo and 6yo. Gets dropped a lot and is impressively robust.

Thanks I'll put that on his list.

Both my kids have birthdays close to Christmas so I spend most of the year looking out for ideas and bargains.

DS was given one when he was 5. He's 8 now and still enjoys using it.

PligityPolopity · 23/07/2020 17:34

It’s great! He’ll get years out of it.

Ds2 age 7 still plays with his. He loves all the silly effects. Well worth it imo

Polkadotdelight · 02/08/2020 10:29

My DS had one at that age and he had great fun taking pictures. Now he's nearly 6 he's discovered how to make videos and he's copying youtubers.id say go for it.

I bought it during lockdown to share between my 4 and 7 year old. They have both enjoyed using it and find taking silly photos hilarious.
I would recommend buying a memory card to go with it, as they will run out of space quite quickly with just the camera memory.

Just a warning... downloaded dds pictures yesterday and lots of pictures of DH in the shower!Blush (Dd usually goes upstairs with him when he comes home from work so she can chat to him, and obviously was once playing with her camera as well GrinGrin)

I love this idea. My DD is too young for one but when she's older I'll definitely get her one.
