I ask the child, and check with the parents. My GD loves crafting, and stationary

Redshoeblueshoe · 21/06/2020 23:20

And books

Victoria6386 · 21/06/2020 23:27

My DD usually gets a lot of makeup, but everyone has personal preferences so just ask her.

KVlovesWinter · 22/06/2020 20:35

My DDs at that age would ask for things like make up, clothes , lush bath bombs, books, stationary, trainers. Kind of depends what they are into though

extra long hot water bottle

This was a massive hit with my 13 yo

She has also loved a baking subscription she got baked in

I've been eyeing up these towels for swimming dock and bay

Another big hit was a £1 set of hoop earrings from primark!

So this is from my experience:
Make-up - Revolution is a good brand to start with.
Make-up organiser - Superdrug has a really good one.
Face-masks - Argos sell 7th Heaven sets that are really good value for money. My girls love them.
Filofax -I bought a lovely bright pink one for my DD13. She loved it - WHSmith had some good discounts around November time.
Hoodies/jogger - New Look, Hollister, Hype are a few brands.
Tie dye is very popular at the moment.

Puffinhead · 16/07/2020 18:36

Pens, notepads and especially tippex. Frixion pens are popular. Typo also has funky stationery.

Puffinhead · 16/07/2020 18:38

New Look sold hooded slackets last year which also went down well.

Puffinhead · 16/07/2020 18:39

*slankets not slackets! Slippers/bed socks to go with? I bought all Sloth stuff last year.

Bananaman123 · 20/07/2020 21:02

Beauty advents go down well with mine, recommend body shop, bubble t, soap and glory, nyx and some revolution ones are ok but check unboxings on youtube first and wait for them to drop in price as fu,l price is far too much

merryhouse · 20/07/2020 21:04

flamingo fairy lights

Jerble · 20/07/2020 22:43

My teen isn’t into make up, bath bombs or fashion. She loves stationery, books, art equipment, games console vouchers/games, and baking.

KoalasandRabbit · 23/07/2020 05:14

I would ask as can vary. My DD likes sewing, books on army, clothes (leggings, hoodies but suspect she would prefer to choose herself), she has flamingo lights, painting set, money.

IggyAce · 23/07/2020 05:26

My DD 13 for her birthday had asked for a Morphe pallet and some make up brushes.
Face masks
Bath Bombs, highly recommend you look at Mrs Snowballs bubble boutique, they are much better and cheaper than Lush.
She loves nice note books and pens.

Lindy2 · 23/07/2020 05:41

My 12 year old loves going shopping. She'd be most happy with money or a voucher for somewhere like Claire's or Primark to choose for herself.

She also likes make up and perfume, stationary, jewellry and sweets.

WeMarchOn · 26/07/2020 18:46

So far i have bought her 3 Morphe palettes and a James Charles one

Revolution makeup website has a sale on atm I think, that's a good brand to go for as well x

haba · 26/07/2020 22:29

Mine isn't into make up or beauty things at all. She wants an electric guitar for Christmas!
She had a DS last year.

VirginiaWolverine · 30/07/2020 13:10

I think it's a bit like asking "what do middle-aged women want?".

Either get something that you know is related to her tastes/interests, or get her an Amazon voucher.

DD is 13. She has no interest in make-up or bath stuff, has very specific taste in clothes, and likes fake plants and woodland decor for her room, books, good quality drawing stuff for her particular style of art, sewing and jewelry making stuff, kit for her favourite sport, and she wants a skateboard for her next birthday.

bookmum08 · 30/07/2020 13:22

My one is 12. Her interests are mostly Nintendo and Gloomy black clothing.
