It’s Christmas......! Who’s up already?

We don’t have kids, but I love Christmas... woke up for a wee and now can’t go back to sleep... it’s 6.25am.

When we were kids we woke my parents up at stupid o clock and some years they let us get up!

I'm awake but in bed. Cats woke me up and I want to get a cup of tea but don't want to wake anyone.

Me. Don't know why I'm awake so early, it's just me and DDog

Got up at 5.30, put make up on, had shower, put on Christmas outfit, sitting in lounge having a Christmas morning coffee and the whole family are asleep in bed including four year old and baby - the one morning you want them to wake you up early they don't! GET UP......!

I'm awake, still waiting for DC to 6&7 to wake up.

Ds2 got up at 6.20 we gave been watching Netflix waiting for 7.30 to wake ds1. Ds2 is 3 I am so excited for him to see all his presents he's going to love it but waking ds1 before 7.30 would result in a grumpy 7 year old by 11am so we wait...

Yep. Eldest 19 back from Uni, she worked till 1pm last night so fast asleep. Ds14 and dp also asleep!

The stockings are on the bedroom doors untouched, and presents all ready under the tree. Just about to do my make up and put on a party dress, then I'l wake them by singing Christmas songs in the hallway. Ds14 asked me NOT to do this again last night, saying he wanted to wake up naturally-No chance. If I let them sleep they wouldn't wake till lunch!

I’m awake!! No kids yet (one on the way ) but I’m just too excited about seeing DH and our family open the presents I/we got them.

Having reliably slept until gone 8am for months, and despite having no real idea that it's Christmas, DD (2) woke at 6. Must be something in the air! Enjoying the last year we can have coffee before opening presents!

Been up since 5:45 with the dogs (I’m 4 hours ahead)

STBXH got up (for various reasons he’s still living in the spare room), we exchanged presents, and he went to work at 7:30.

I opened a bottle of champagne, drank it, cried, and am now on the way to the beach.

And I broke a nail

Humbug.

Up at 6 for a wee and then realised I haven't really got enough vegetable oil and have been worrying about that ever since. Everyone else is fast asleep still.

She's up... presents are open & she's playing with her new phone I'm on a second coffee & contemplating breakfast.

Yup. Santa presents were opened here at 0630. Family gifts will wait 'til a more humane hour!

It's still Xmas Eve where I am but only just. For the first time ever, we opened our pressies this evening. The DC are in their teens but they love our Christmases.

Up at 5.30am to shape and prove the croissants, spent the rest of the time tidying up the kitchen and laying the table for Christmas breakfast.

Adult DDs and DH all still fast asleep - pre-agreed waking time of 8.30am but not sure if I can wait that long - might 'accidentally' let v lively kitten into bedrooms 😊

I'm awake bit in bed, kids have their stockings to keep them busy. Dd1 has kept me awake all night coughing and is still coughing and now I'm coming down with it. Luckily we are at home today so no rush to do anything and I don't jave to worry about looking rough.

I went to sleep at around 2 and woke up at 4! Then had to wait for the kids to get up.... I was too excited to sleep

I'm the only one awake in my house. Dd1 is 20 so would happily stay in bed til mid afternoon. Dd2 is 9 and has just started sleeping in, especially as she's had a few late nights. Neither of them have ever done the super early excited thing on Christmas morning, but it's usually been about 7 that we get up. I think I might be looking at 9 ish today, based on what time dd2 woke up yesterday.

DH and I have been up for an hour now. I need a second coffee - I never sleep well on Christmas Eve. DD (16) is stirring but hasn't come down yet. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄🤶🏻

We have been up since 6:30. Youngest son was over excited about Christmas and I think now is a bit teary bless. 2 older sons got up with him at 7 to open stuff and give out the pressies they've bought.

I woke at 4 with chronic pain.

DS got into bed with me at 5am

DD did a poo at 5.30 🙄

Gave up at 6.30 and got up. Been awake over 4 hours already 😴

Me since 4am!
Although that's mainly because I'm having strong Braxton hicks. 33 weeks and due to be induced at 37 weeks due to obestric cholestastis, although only got out of hospital yesterday after little man decided to try and make an appearance on the 23rd! They don't think it will be much longer, so every twinge I'm like is this it?! Haha.
He's my first but my nephews have been up since 6am with excitement!

Merry christmas all! Ds6 woke us after 5. Dtwins also up for a feed.
Went back to bed after that. Thought ds had gone in beside dp. He came in at 7 to say he had opened all his presents!! . Dp let him so he could get sleep. Raging tbh. Wanted to see his little face wgen he opened them. Hes still in bed. Am trying to sort everyone for breakfast and now looks like we wont be esting together. Disappointed.

Dh woke around 5 and nodded on and off after that. I woke just after 6 and then nodded and read for a bit.
17y dd came bounding in at just gone 7am. She is still so giddy and excited at Christmas time. I love that she still is!

All presents now open and just having a breakfast of fizz and smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels.
