Help! I've come down with a cold.

Feeling dreadful. Dragging myself around the kitchen, trying to prepare a Julbord (Swedish Christmas smorgasbord) for my family - mostly for DSF, who's Swedish. I haven't a clue what I'm doing; I've never made Swedish food before. I have two hours to pull it together. But I just want to put my aching body into bed. Please give me some tips for instant energy! Xmas Confused

Day nurse is the best to get you through a cold!

Me too (on the cold not the smorgasbord)! It sucks. Second year on the bounce.

But why are you cooking? Id not want a coldy person preparing my food plus you need to rest!

I'm cooking because my parents are in their early 80s and although they know about my virus, they've both had it so clearly aren't fussed. I promised to do this last Christmas, when DSF declared he'd cooked his last Julbord.

Woe is me. DD has just given me a RedBull.

I'm awake... Because I have a hideous cold!

Boo, same here. Got home from work at 8.30pm today and then immediately started to feel ill. Annoying when my fiancé and l don’t get many Christmas’s off work

I'm on day 3 of any awful cold (can't take anything because I'm pregnant), but always found Lemsip max quite good- do you have it there?
