How do you cook your vegetables?

Just had a read of some veg-prep threads, and glad I can do it the night before!

Other than roast potatoes and parsnips, what do you do differently with your veg? I’ve seen people mention something about bacon and sprouts - I don’t have any bacon, but is there a nicer way of cooking sprouts and carrots other than simply boiling them?

Does nobody else do red cabbage?

I do braised red cabbage (someone else suggested it above).

I usually do a version of Tom kerridge's carrots, cooked in orange juice and butter (less star anise than he suggests though).

I'm with the quick steam of sprouts and then fry them with bacon school of thought too. I don't like chestnuts though.

No peas or cauliflower here either. I hate peas.
