Help! My gammon is slightly too big for my slow cooker!

I was planning to cook this overnight to save oven space tomorrow but the damn thing is about 1cm too tall to fit! Anything I can do or do I have to hack a bit off?

Just hack it and save the spare bit in the freezer for a treat gammon steak in February or something.

Boil it and take the skin off?

It will lose a lot of liquid during cooking. Put the lid on top then seal the gap with foile
