I keep perusing the list of presents that I have bought for dh and dc and I'm panicking that I've not bought enough.
I've now broken up for Christmas but I'm resisting the urge to hit the shops and buy some last minute unnecessary presents.

I’ve been determined to keep it a bit simpler this year, but it’s hard to resist the urge to buy more. Particularly as I can think of 3 more things dd would love, but then would have to buy ds 3 things for the sake of it.

It’s hard reading about people’s big piles, and wondering whether I’ve judged it accurately. They will have less than other years and we definitely need to rein it in a bit. But still... the thoughts of them being disappointed is like kryptonite!

Stay strong!!

Hmmm. I dont think so. Trying not to think about it too much. Ive all wrapped and sorted now and near shit a brick when i brought all out to start wrapping last week!! Not been near shops since though will be out tmw. Must.resist..

Not this year for once! My two have about 14 gifts each to open...some packages are very small things like hair accessories...their stockings I now keep very low cost...bulked out with chocolate.

I find in the past I'd put things in their stockings which would be better wrapped and under the tree!

This way, they get more gifts to open. I never wrap stocking things.

I didnt get them EVERYTHING they asked for...but most of the things they really wanted or mentioned more than once. I'm satisfied that it's more than enough.

Same! I asked my 8 year old what she wanted for Christmas today...she said a Spirograph, so off I went to Smyths. Even though I get them quite a few I always worry they’ll be disappointed.

I'm guilty of this...not for dh, but the dcs, I'm off out tomorrow to get more Xmas Grin

I've spent equal amounts of money on the DC but one pile will definitely look bigger than the other. We're going out tomorrow to the city centre to meet friends but I'm going to stay strong and avoid any shops.

Everything's done here barring buying veg at the market tomorrow, and putting presents out once the girls have gone to bed...

I may have had a small online twitch just now but there is no way it'll arrive tomorrow so it will be added to dd2's birthday pile for Saturday (2nd hand copy of Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief bought on ebay, her class are reading it & she's enjoying it). Hopefully I'll not see anything either would like in town tomorrow Xmas Hmm
