Onion-free stuffing

Hi everyone, my DH is allergic to onions/ shallots etc and he really misses stuffing, does anyone have a recipe which would suit this? Thanks 😊 xxx

Not sure if this would help but I can't eat onions due to ibs, so I make a normal stuffing recipe with sage but with chives (or the green part of spring onions or the tops of leeks).

I cannot have onion but I can have chive.
I finely chop carrot and celery and fry off in butter and oil until caramalised. Add chives, thyme and sage with a lot of salt. If having pork I also add grated apple. Add some stock to the stuffing and bake in the oven.

Leeks instead maybe? The Jamie Oliver recipe on his Christmas show this year has lots of leeks.

A small amount of asafoetida can be an onion substitute, but use caution because it can be overpowering if too much is added
