I've had a look and don't think we have one yet. Dreading the food shop so need to get a list together and go in with a plan. What's on your food shopping list for this year?!

I'm going out today to buy the cupboard items and then Christmas Eve morning really early to buy fresh stuff. Today's list looks like:

Chipolatas
Streaky bacon
Pancetta
Dry stuffing from ts foods (breadcrumbs for mushroom starter)
Eggs
Plain flour
Butter
Cheese (lots of different types incl Camembert, Brie, Stilton)and crackers and relish
Shloer
Wine and Prosecco
Orange juice
Honey
Whipping cream
Ice cream
Mayonnaise
Snacks incl crisps, biccys and nuts
Crackers

On Christmas eve:
Onions, celery, garlic
Carrots
Parsnips
Potatoes
Cauliflower
Mushrooms
Rocket for salad
Breads
Pick up turkey and ham I've ordered

That's a rough guide anyway!

Forgot about baileys! And to add my sprouts 🤣 I'll prob nip into m&s to see what little extras they have also

I have my carrots, sprouts, streaky bacon, breadcrumbs, sausage meat etc. And most of my "store cupboard" items. I think I have enough alcohol and mixers/soft drinks/sparkling water, unless I get some Christmas beers for DH over the weekend.

But still need a few things, including a couple of things I forgot to add to the online order (potatoes) and substitutions that wouldn't work (boil in the bag rice rather than a large bag of regular rice).

Milk (have enough for the weekend, but DH and DD are drinking LOADS at the moment)
Eggs
Double cream
Sage - fresh (I have dried if I can't find fresh)
Yellow onions
Spring onions
Tomatoes
Cos or romaine lettuce, and a bag of mixed leaves
Potatoes (roosters and possibly some maris pipers)
Oranges
Turkey
Squid rings
Braseola
Parma or iberico ham
Salami
Coleslaw (local deli)
Cheese
M&S party nibbles
Fresh fruit for stocking and for fruit salad
Hellmann's mayonnaise
Rice
Kitchen towel
Tin foil

Possibly:
an extra pound of butter
2 spare jars of curry sauce (hopefully the fresh one from a local curry house)
a dessert or Christmas pudding
ice cream
frozen pastries
Christmas/Winter craft beer

I think I also need a couple of Lush bath bombs - I need to check the hidden spot over the weekend but I should have time on Monday.

And I also want some fresh flowers to make things pretty and to enjoy myself doing some flower arranging over the weekend.

BiddyPop · 20/12/2019 12:16

And ground coffee!! I keep forgetting that!!

mrsanflowerpot · 20/12/2019 12:24
