Argh! I don't know what to get my lovely stepdad. I often get him and my DM tickets for something but I've already sorted her so that doesn't really work this year....

What have you all got your dads for some inspiration?

My FIL is getting a Bosche wire detector thing so you don’t drill into a wire in the wall! And a socket set. So dull but he’s a DIY fan so I’m sure he’ll like it.

sunshineandshowers21 · 19/12/2019 20:27

an amazon echo and then bits and bobs like socks, a giant tube of jaffa cakes, slippers, a torch. it’s his birthday a week after christmas so he’s so hard to buy for because you have to buy twice. he’s getting a chainsaw for his birthday though 😂

Notsure94 · 19/12/2019 20:28

It'll be a bottle of decent single malt and some nice cotton socks.

Seethesleepybunnies · 19/12/2019 20:29

I’m so broke so just a book Sad

I’ll get him and my mum some chocolates to share and a photo of DD looking festive in a frame...

guineapig1 · 19/12/2019 20:33

Cookery book, opera tickets, welly socks

JudyDenchsBloomers · 19/12/2019 20:35

A dressing gown (he asked, White Company, 20% off)

A bottle of port and pot of Stilton.

Loladisco · 19/12/2019 20:44

A book on audible - my parents are on an anti-stuff drive so this is perfect, and really affordable

Sadik · 19/12/2019 20:52

I got some good suggestions on this thread. In the end he asked for a particular CD though, so that's what he's getting! (but also some nice steak from a friend's cow)

jocktamsonsbairn · 19/12/2019 21:07

A few nights away and a trip to the wee festival theatre for the Xmas show with Dom. They've already been. He also has a bottle of Highland Park and a bottle of Irn Bru 1901 to open on the day.

SoftBlocks · 19/12/2019 21:08

A nice whiskey.

Juancornetto · 19/12/2019 21:08

PumpkinPie2016 · 19/12/2019 21:20

A bottle of chivas regal whiskey (his favourite) and a book which I know he will enjoy.

His birthday is 2nd Jan so it's always a challenge finding two presents so close together!

supermariio · 19/12/2019 21:31

Fishing rod some old spice and a nice wallet

Lololololola · 19/12/2019 23:50

As a grand parent I would just like to say that we absolutely love getting photos of the GC, and decent alcohol
