Inspiration for me?!

I’m not feeling very inspired when asked what I want for Christmas. I’m poorly and am worried about everyone else getting poorly for Christmas and my mum potentially not being able to come (she’s got cancer). So don’t have my mojo.

DP needs some ideas for me. She (we’re both women) is normally great but is also having a bit of a tough time and just needs to be told ideas which is fair enough!

So, what lovely things could I ask for?

I’m 44, like reading but never get the time, music, ditto, naice homewares, not massively into pampering or anything.

Love clothes, and have lost a stone, so there’s that.

Have been really lucky to get some nice presents of things I really wanted over the past couple of years, like wireless headphones.

But now I don’t know.

Please inspire me, lovely Christmas people!

I'm sorry about your mum

Cashmere beanie/gloves
DAB radio for around the house (some are v small, so can move from room to room, and hopefully encourage you to listen more?)
A lovely teapot and loose leaf tea
Some chocolate caramels
Subscription to something that needs a little brain power but can be read in short bursts, to help you get back into reading e.g. Private Eye, LRB, Spectator, Slightly Foxed

New boots (cosy ones for winter)
Snuggly dressing gown

Thank you! Dressing gown could definitely be an idea. And small DAB radio - I have one but a small battery powered one could work very well.

Following as I have no idea what i want either! I've suddenly got "enough". Maybe a trip to the theatre?

Yes, that would be good, though DP has taken against ‘experience’ presents cos we often don’t get to use them for various reasons (illness, usually!).

I would love a trip to the ballet, though.
