As promised on my previous thread. I'll kick off with the most important one. The giant box of Quality Street Xmas Grin

Wow it's amazing!

70sWitch · 15/12/2019 18:29

I do love it. The lights have different settings too. It's my favourite Christmas thing so 70s or not, it always comes out.

Lol was just describing 70s garlands to my DD as we were decorating the tree, and I said she should be grateful she's not up a ladder trying to arrange garlands to all be the same length.

Daisydoola · 15/12/2019 18:49

Thanks for the update, it looks great.

nickdrakeslovechild · 15/12/2019 20:57

Oh wow! I love it. Where did you get the wrapping paper from?

70sWitch · 15/12/2019 21:16

Thanks Xmas Smile
Wrapping paper from eBay. Search vintage or retro Christmas wrapping paper. They have lots.

The Quality Street tin is the colour of Christmas as far as I'm concerned. My Christmas tree theme is All The Colours because it reminds me of that era Quality Street tin Smile

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 15/12/2019 21:51

I love Christmas in your house!!

Leflic · 15/12/2019 22:05

70sWitch That navity! Everyone had one!

Obviously there was still a hangover from the 60’s Christmas that seemed to involve guady paper Chinese lanterns on the ceiling between crepe garlands.
When did garlands go? There were metallic ones in 80’s and 90’s then ziltch.

70sWitch · 16/12/2019 10:09

The garlands seem to be back in style. Which made my life easier this year.

I just wanted to say thank you. I've loved both of your threads. You've made my "Christmas Past" come alive again. I wish you and yours a Very Merry (1970's) Christmas! Xmas Smile

Oldraver · 20/12/2019 20:03

I've got a very similar Nativity scene

Just checked the tesco website as I’ve not been in lately and it’s definitely on there so 🤞
