Photo gifts

I am thinking of giving a photo gift to DM/MIL. Are they really tacky?? Thinking a small cushion or mug with the grandkids. Anyone bought a photo cushion before? What's the quality like? Any recommendations?

They will get other presents as well but they love their photos and they're running out of space for photo frames (also have digital photo frames).

Cushions are really naff. I’d go with a mug.

I would likely stick with a classic photo in a frame or a canvas honestly.

My MIL liked her canvas bag with a photo on (not from us)

I think wholly depends on circumstance. We got mil photo cushion of grandkids when she was in hospital for a long time. Other people I know have loved desk calendars.

Both my DM and MIL love the calenders.

Calendars with grandchildren on are a perfect gift. Csnvas is a good one too. Mugs and cushions are a bit naff, but I must admit I adored it when a friend had a cushion of my dog made just after the dog died. It’s even more precious now as my friend has died too.

I would stick with photo in a nice frame.

Or a calendar.

Thought I'd found an easy present but looks like consensus is don't do it - so will think again! Maybe a calendar.

I give my in laws a photo calendar every year. Cushions are totally naff. Mugs might be ok. A photo book also a good idea...
