So just when I thought I was done!!
Stuck for ideas for the following and would appreciate any suggestions:
2 x nieces may or may not bring their boyfriends when they come for tea on boxing day. One late teens, one early 20s. One I've never met and fairly new relationship.
Don't want to embarrass them with extravagant gifts but also not keen on people coming at Christmas and leaving empty handed.
Ideally not too expensive but thoughtful and if possible something we can keep or regift if they don't come in the end.
Help. I'm stuck!!

Chocolate or a bottle of wine/some beers

bookmum08 · 15/12/2019 10:22

Do you need to get them anything? I wouldn't.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/12/2019 10:55

Bottle of wine in a gift bag. Or one beautiful tree decoration wrapped up really nicely.

Although personally, I probably wouldn't bother tbh.

Twinklemacfinkle · 15/12/2019 13:21

I would go with something alcoholic

IPokeBadgers · 15/12/2019 13:25

Chocolate orange each. All you need is a token gesture surely?

WeirdPookah · 15/12/2019 13:25

A Christmas bottle of beer

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 15/12/2019 14:19

I was going to say Christmas beer too then it is very clearly a token gift and not embarrassing for them

dunkinhobnobs · 15/12/2019 20:58

Thanks for the ideas. I think it may be almost as embarrassing to sit there with nothing to open. Thinking Christmas beer may be a good shout. Thank you.

Christmas Beer or those large Lindor sweets they are selling filled with smaller Lindor sweets

PinkJam · 16/12/2019 07:36

I agree that Christmas Beer is a good idea and won’t make them feel uncomfortable they didn’t bring anything for you.
