So..,.brilliant....my ds2 wanted nothing specific for Christmas until he saw the Edgar dragon Christmas Windows in London

today. Now he's the only thing he's asked for - typically the damn things are sold out everywhere online, and eBay prices are crazy, does anyone know of a John Lewis that has any stock? I'm in the SE/London or could get to a store in the Midlands.
Thanks :)

look on facebook marketplace, they are always on mine

I asked a John Lewis worker at the weekend and she said the only chance was trying a Waitrose as that’s where the stocks start. She also said that there were people buying lots of them, one man bought 90 and another bought 70 all to sell on eBay at 3-4X the price (Bastards!!!)

Mama1980 · 05/12/2019 21:31

Thanks, unfortunately there are none under £40 on my local fb selling page.
Really?! That's awful, who does that with a child's toy. Thanks for the tip I'll try Waitrose tomorrow just in case

If you search on the John Lewis app, you can check by store where they are in stock.

There are a few scattered around the SE (quite literally a few) - don’t think you can reserve them unless there’s a few in stock, so you’d have to be there as the store opens to be in with a chance...

one man bought 90 and another bought 70
That's just ridiculous.

They did have some Edgar soft toys by the checkouts in the Waitrose in Coulsdon if that helps.

There's 3 at Oxford Street according to the app & 1 at Peter Jones. Solihull has one. There's quite a few dotted round the country so maybe you can find one local to someone you know

They shouldn't allow people to buy these in bulk. I'm sure when they had Mog fever in Sainsbury's a few Christmases ago, they limited them to a certain sensible number per customer. I'll possibly be in a Waitrose in a fairly small town tomorrow, OP - if they have any, I'll check this thread and nab one to post to you if you're still looking.

HappyDinosaur · 06/12/2019 16:05

People aren't allowed to buy them in bulk, there's a limit apparently, but if they go multiple times and use different accounts how are they to know%stop it? I'd check JL website every day as they are bound to have a few more before Christmas.

Mama1980 · 06/12/2019 16:32

Thanks spiderlight- I haven't had any luck today. A guy in Waitrose said they literally had about 6 and they all went within 10 minutes. There is supposed to be a limit of 3 apparently but he said its impossible to police as people get friends to come in etc or use multiple accounts.
