So we ordered one on Black Friday from Amazon and the box arrived with a huge hole in the side. As far as we could tell without opening it no damage was done inside. We called Amazon and they wanted to swap it - fair enough.
So Amazon said they would pick it up and send a new one, they never picked it up but a second one arrived with another hole, this time worse as you can see it's gone through to the contents of the box. So yesterday was spent trying to organise someone to come and pick up the second and we had been promised someone would come for the first. It never happened. After hours speaking to CS last night they said they no longer had any in stock and would process a refund.
Smyths last night has the chalet at the same price but we stupidly didn't reserve and now I see it's gone up in price.
Here's my question - is it possible for us to get the first one out of the box to check the parts of the chalet without opening any of the surprise elements? I know this is big part of LOLs and don't want to spoil that part for the kids but at the same time I really begrudge paying an extra £35 for something I technically have hidden in my wardrobe already.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm tearing my hair our here!
