Anyone ordered from The Works?

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of ordering from them.

I placed an order with them this morning, and paid £4.99 for Next Day Delivery as I need it by the weekend and Wednesday is a day when I can be home to accept it. 7pm was the cut off time for that and I ordered 8 hours before then.
As of now, half past Midnight, the status still says 'order processing', and from that I'd estimate that they're not going to get it out in time and off to the courier for a next day delivery.

Has anyone had problems with them?

Nope, ordered plenty from there without issue.

Ordered some things last Monday and they were here the Wednesday lunchtime

Never had any problems :-) it might just be that the website hasn’t updated the order status properly.

I've never had an issue either. It's probably a technical glitch.

Thanks for the replies. The status still hasn’t changed so I’ll give customer service a call when they open at 9. If it’s a glitch I can’t check with Hermes to see if there’s actually a delivery due today because I don’t have a tracking number, but if it’s still not been dispatched then I don’t want to waste the day waiting for a delivery that isn’t going to arrive.

I ordered from them last week for standard delivery and should have had it so maybe they’re having an issue in certain areas

I’ve spoken to customer service and apparently there’s a glitch with updates and it’s left the warehouse and is with Hermes. However, Hermes have a delivery backlog and can’t offer the next day service so The Works are refunding that.

Oh good, I just got an email through after I posted here to say it’s with courier so finger crossed we’ll both get our stuff

I ordered 3 books (3 for a fiver), a science kit, a candle set (for the DIL as she loves candles, thought she might try to make her own) and treated myself to a supernatural on Britain's Road book for myself .
I like The Works and was debating on whether to treat me to those paint a stone neon . I think I will see what the sales have to offer there :)
